It’s one of the biggest events on the surfing calendar, and Mad Mex is thrilled to be a key partner for the 2022 Havaianas NSW Grommet State Titles. To be held from Friday July 22 to Sunday July 24 at the ultimate surfing hotspot at Maroubra Beach, we welcome all our amigos to come down, watch the athletes strut their stuff, and snag yourself a burrito while you’re at it!
There will be 400-odd competitors across the three days of the event, so you’re going to see some excellent surfing from Australia’s best up-and-coming athletes. Now that surfing’s an Olympic sport, the opportunities opening for surfers are massive, and the passion and energy at events such as these cannot be beat.
As a major partner of the event, Mad Mex will be pitching its tents to make sure that all competitors and their supporters are comfortable. We mean this literally! Look out for the two big Mad Mex tents at the event. That’s the “chillout zone,” and between their events, the competitors can use that space to warm up, cool down, and otherwise zone out. There are even games that will be there for their free use, so they can focus in the way that suits them, and perform at their best when their number is up.
But that’s not all! We’ve got something special planned for all our non-surfing amigos that come down to cheer on the athletes and enjoy the sport. We’re giving away the world’s best burrito for free to everyone that attends, and you’ll also walk away with a 2-for-1 voucher for the next time you drop into a Mad Mex restaurant.
