The last time we had our Spicy Chicken on the menu was 2019. Since then, it has been one of the most popular requested items to bring back, so we’re thrilled to be making it happen again.
Inspired by the Yucatan region in Mexico (that’s down the southern part of the country), the first thing you’ll notice about the Spicy Chicken is the deep red colour of it. When you see that, your mouth is going to immediately water, because it promises such a punch of flavour.
That colour is iconic to the achiote spice, which is popular in the Yucatan region, and has been the core inspiration for our own Spicy Chicken flavour profile. As our founder, Clovis Young, said, we’re enormously proud of how authentic and true we’ve been able to craft this dish.
“Our secret sauce is staying true to our authentic Mexican roots. We’ve named this Spicy Yucatan Chicken because it has a vibrant, bright red colour inspired by the achiote, and will take our customers’ mouths to Mexico,” Clovis said.
What you’re going to really love about our Spicy Chicken is that it has been perfectly balanced for just about every taste bud. The spices and heat do dance across the tongue and will warm the soul of anyone that likes bold flavours. At the same time, it’s not so spicy or intense that you must be the kind of person that sees a Carolina Reaper pepper as a fun challenge to enjoy.
